UrgentCoastal flood warning through Thursday: tides are running higher than predicted
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a coastal flood warning until Thursday the 29th at 1 PM. Tides are coming in 1.5 to 1.7 ft higher than the tables say, so the late-morning high tide (Tuesday 9:51, Wednesday 10:29, Thursday 11:13) may reach around 8 feet. If you live on the seafront, stay off patios, the walkway and the seawalls around those times, and never turn your back on the ocean.
A water line burst on May 28. Maintenance staff opened the pavement, replaced the damaged section of pipe, and completed the repair.
This was separate from the water main break on Calle Federico. It was handled in-house by our own staff.
