UrgentCoastal flood warning through Thursday: tides are running higher than predicted

1 of 3

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a coastal flood warning until Thursday the 29th at 1 PM. Tides are coming in 1.5 to 1.7 ft higher than the tables say, so the late-morning high tide (Tuesday 9:51, Wednesday 10:29, Thursday 11:13) may reach around 8 feet. If you live on the seafront, stay off patios, the walkway and the seawalls around those times, and never turn your back on the ocean.

Beach access between casas 46 and 47 closed until further notice

The sea took the steps of the beach access between casas 46 and 47, and the walkway next to it is sinking (see the post about the sinkholes). The access is closed and the gate on the beach side is being locked.

It will not be repaired for now: while the ground at casa 47 keeps moving, the walkway to these stairs is not safe.

Please do not use this access or walk around the taped-off area. The access between casas 30 and 31 is also still closed.

Please use the accesses that are still open:

• North side: casa 60 • South side: casas 15 and 16
